Queen Mary Boiler Room 2 with Gerald Reynolds peparing his camera. High Strangeness Aboard The Queen Mary
High Strangeness Aboard The Queen MaryM
UCH HAS BEEN has been written about the infamous paranormal activity present on the Queen Mary historic ship located in Long Beach, California. Some would gladly label the classic luxury liner built in the early / mid 20th century a floating phenomenon. With years of experience seeking answers to its elusive secrets, independent investigator, Gerald Reynolds, might agree. Having assisted Patrick Wheelock of Beyond Investigation during his midnight Paranormal Investigation Tours aboard the ship since 2008, Gerald often gets a front row view of curious happenings.

Independent Investigator Gerald Reynolds
Independent Investigator, Gerald Reynolds, shares an amazing late night.
Not usually open to the general public but visited regularly by Patrick's tour group, Boiler Room No. 2 is now a vast open cavity that once housed a set of water boilers that generated power to the ship's engines. A possible period workman apparition viewed by Patrick, recorded anomalous enviro sounds and remarkable multiple EVP captured made for an exciting late night for all who attended the April 23, 2011 tour.

Climb aboard and find Gerald's evidence as recorded by digital voice recorder and video camera, along with photos and comments describing the events.

Approximately 1:45am | The possible apparition
The tour group completes their investigation of Boiler Room No. 2 and exits into the ship's exhibit hall. As Patrick turns back to look at Gerald, he sees what appears to be a male figure walk past the entrance door, within the boiler room and behind Gerald.

Immediately assuming it was an unauthorized ship visitor, Patrick immediately entered the boiler room and with the help of the tour group, did a thorough search for the individual. Nobody was found and Security was called to further the search.

Looking toward the Boiler Room No. 2's exit doors that lead to the ship's exhibition hall. The spot where Gerald is standing represents the general area where Patrick Wheelock saw a possible apparition pass by as he stood in the Hall looking back through the doorway.

Boiler Room No. 2 Apparition

Patrick Wheelock describes what he saw as the mystery person passed by the boiler room doors. Gerald Reynolds also relates in the recording an experience of his own with a similar looking possible apparition. ParaXplorer Project founder, Matthew, was also present on a previous Paranormal Investigation Tour when Patrick took view of a possible spectre. Like the character described in this audio, the male figure immediately disappeared from the environment without any evidence of physical existence.

Approximately 2:30am | The Electronic Voice Phenomenon [EVP]
After looking for the individual who was the possible source of Patrick's apparition, Security was called to further the search while Gerald accompanied retiring tour members to the ship's exit. Once Gerald returned, he joined his daughter, Patrick and three remaining male tour members for one last Boiler Room No. 2 vigil. Below are two EVP with one being the most chilling ever captured within the ship.

Patrick Wheelock and tour guest start a vigil within the Boiler Room No. 2 soon after he spots what might have been a male full body apparition.

Boiler Room No. 2 EVP with Patrick Wheelock

Patrick invites the spirit he might have seen passing by to sit with him and communicate. An EVP possibly responding to Patrick's request can be heard at the 18 seconds mark. The EVP portion is amplified and repeated 3 times.

As the vigil comes to an end, the group gathers itself and makes way to the boiler room's exit doors, Gerald and his daughter stay behind to say goodnight to whoever might have chatted with them. "It's been nice talking to you", Gerald says. What follows is one of the most amazing Queen Mary EVP the Project has received. It seems to be volunteered by an extremely emotional woman. Jerry and his daughter (she can be heard saying "yeah" at the recording's end) are the only two people present. The EVP is repeated three times.
